THE LIGHTS OF DAUPHIN ISLAND
The Dauphin Island Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Dauphin Island are proud to announce the 2nd Lights of Dauphin Island!
It will look quite like last year, with this exception – we will have all trees at the Water Tower Plaza this year.
That means that participation will be somewhat limited due to space restrictions.
Sponsorship costs $100 for both businesses and individuals choosing to participate.
Tree sponsors will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
As last year, our goals are two-fold:
1. We want to light up the Water Tower Plaza, representative of the beautiful sense of community we share here while creating a focal point for holiday spirit and celebration.
2. We also want to support our local food bank - Feed the Need.
Sponsor registration fees will cover the cost of the tree and a donation to FTN.
Once again, there will be People’s Choice and a panel of judges selecting winners.
There will be other ways to support Feed the Need to be announced later.
Please plan to participate in our 2nd Annual Lights of Dauphin Island.
Who can Participate?
Businesses, individuals, churches, social clubs, neighborhoods...ANYONE can add to the holiday spirit by sponsoring a tree and decorating, in such a way as to represent your business, or simply to demonstrate your own personal flair.
You may sponsor a tree for $100 if you register before the early bird registration is over – 10/15/2021. Registration increases to $150 from 10/16/2021 until 11/5/2021. This will give us time to place the order for our trees.
When do the trees need to be decorated?
We will pick up and erect the trees on 11/29 and the trees will be available to decorate beginning no later than 12/1. All trees must be completed by Saturday 12/4. The tree lighting will be that evening.
Where will trees be displayed?
All trees will be displayed at the Water Tower Plaza this year.

How can I support this project if I can’t sponsor a tree?
If your business does not have staff enough to leave work and decorate a tree, we have volunteers who could take the decorations you’d like on your tree and decorate it for you.
If you would like to volunteer to help, please email the Chamber to sign up on our website.
We are asking Chamber members to consider putting a hand made collection box in their store to collect additional funds for Feed the Need.
